Iraq Body Count

Following on from the discussion in the comments below, Iraqbodycount.org are an independent, voluntary organisation who aim to establish an accurate record of just how many people are being killed.

  1. Their methods certainly seem sound, but as their counter was stuck on 14 min/max dead for the first three days of the war, I didn’t check back…

  2. I personally hope that Saddam gets blown away. The guy is evil to the core. I am right behind the troops and give them all my support.

  3. I’m not exactly fond of him myself, Mr. Buff, but I don’t believe that killing other Iraqis is the best way to deal with him.

  4. The only reason we are killing “other Iraqis” is because we were not able to directly kill Saddam that first night. We may have mortally wounded him, and he may be dead now. But, until we know for sure, the hunt continues.

The reformation of Iraq is something I am skeptical and worried about. You can take the evil man out, but can you take the piety induced aggresion out of a nation, or even a region of sandy countries? How about we find all the references to death and justice in the bible, then rationalize murder and genocide using it? It wouldnt be hard. To not do that is called Civilization, as in Civilized-Civilization.

    Darwinism prevails.
