Result

Interesting results last night: Labour losses, Lib Dem losses, SNP losses and Tory stasis put the focus on independent and small party success. I take this as a sign that people are getting more comfortable with the second vote, which gave the SSP a fantastic result - five six MSPs, all via the party list, putting them in a position to exert real influence.

My constituency, Glasgow Kelvin, reflected the trends across Scotland:

The turnout was typically weak, too: 35.9% of the electorate, down 10.5% from last time.
