Pipelining in Chimera

No, I don’t know what HTTP 1.1 pipelining is either, but if you add

user_pref(“network.http.pipelining”, true);
user_pref(“network.http.proxy.pipelining”, true);

to the preferences file then the browser speeds up a fair bit. The preferences file is to be found at ~/Library > Application Support > Chimera > profiles > default > [random].slt -> prefs.js

[Thank you, Mac OS X Hints]

Also, iPulse for OS X is worth a look. It prettily displays the following:

  1. CPU activity (single and dual)
  2. System load
  3. Network activity
  4. Memory activity and usage
  5. Disk usage
  6. Current time and date
