Power Tab Browsing
Over at Boingboing.net, Cory Doctorow is musing on the possibilities of an RSS aggregator or similar that outputted Moz tab-bookmark files.
As a proof of concept he created a bookmark file that loads all of the stories in the latest issue of The Onion into individual tabs. I had no idea this could be done, but since it can, here’s my new bookmark featuring a selection of weblogs i read regularly.
To use it, ctrl-click (mac) or right-click (pc) and choose Save Target As. Save the file, then select Bookmarks:Manage Bookmarks, then when the Bookmarks window is open, select Tools:Import and choose the file you just downloaded. You’ll find you have a new bookmarked called “tabbed browsing fun,” select it as you would any bookmark from the drop-down list, and all the sites I’ve chosen will load up in individual tabs.
