404 Not Found

I’ve always been fond of 404 errors. At present my favourite has to be the 404 found at Marx​ists.org, prov­ing that the com­rades have a sense of humour after all.

My own is rather basic, I must admit, but it does the job. (Or rather did the job on the one occa­sion it has been viewed thus far.)

I’m not alone, either: the good people over at 404lab share my fond­ness for this little nugget of ephemera, and even pro­vide a gallery of choice 404 pages (which kind of negates the plea­sure of stum­bling on a par­tic­u­larly fine exam­ple while root­ing around the web…)
