Remembrance Day

remembrance day is a tricky one, no? you just can’t find a white poppy anywhere, and wearing a red one involves supporting the haig foundation. that’s the haig who worked out that britain and her allies had more young working class men than the other side, and could therefore send millions of them to be slaughtered on the understanding that the enemy would run out of bodies first. cunt. then again, dismissing the whole thing as a jingoistic pile of nonsense is wrong too, since we certainly ought to remember…

perhaps less relevant when you consider the fact that internment for terrorist suspects is back on the agenda here, and the US are sanctioning torture of terrorist suspects (cf. turkey)
