Today’s Links (28/06/07)
- Daring Fireball: iPhone Doubter of the Year
This piece is way funnier if you watch Coronation Street. (Apologies for even mentioning the sodding iPhone, though.) - Brightcove - The leopard_demo Channel
Video demos of 15 Leopard features. Very pretty. - Opera Mini™ 4 beta
The bestest browser for your mobile. - WOEBOT: Mauve House
Interesting new, loosely defined sub-genre. (I was curious as to what makes the music under discussion especially ‘mauve’. Matthew Woebot kindly explained via email that he chose the colour for its inbetween-ness, queerness (both senses), and the colloquial meaning of feeling ‘a bit off’.) - Woebot TV
The above reminded me of this, a short film by Woebot featuring Keith from out of Optimo giving a tour of his obscenely vast record collection (I think I remember Keith saying he has around 30,000 slabs of vinyl, and that was a couple of years ago). - The eyes have it… but what about the nose?
My review of the ECA degree show - lots of good sculpture, immersive environments a bit of a trend, lots of list-making/archivism, lots of totally fucking dire photography. For those unfamiliar with the workings of newspapers, I feel moved to point out that writers don’t make up the headlines! - iSlayer.com
Prettier and with more features than good old MenuMeters. Highly recommended.
I don’t seem to be plopping as many URLs into del.icio.us as I once did, so the above are ‘This Week’s Links’, really.
