- Channel 4 News
- Coronation Street (Though my heart belongs to Brookside.)
Four places I’ve been to on holiday:
- Budapest
- Zagreb
- Stockholm
- St. Jean D’Angely
Four of my favourite dishes:
- Confit du canard with potatoes fried in duck fat.
- A full Scottish breakfast. (Not English, I need potato scone and white pudding in the mix.)
- Eggy bread.
- Bone marrow on toast.
Four websites I visit daily:

- A wonderful site I am not allowed to name, let alone link to.
Four places I would rather be right now:
- Zagreb
- A city in Eastern Europe, Central Europe or Scandinavia that I haven’t been to before.
- At a Prince gig. (Before 1989.)
- The future.

We are agreed on the bone marrow toast with parsley salad and salt, although I thought vietnamese-style quail might make into your top four. I’m dying to know what your secret daily site is (is it rude?). Thanks for the tagging, although not sure I’m going to follow your lead and declare my quartets just yet (only know your blog!).

Nah - it’s a music filesharing place, so strictly secret that if I were to mention it here by name I would be dead within the hour.
Bone marrow on toast?
Damn right! I’ve made it myself a couple of times, but you really need to eat it at St. John, the offal restaurant in London. The texture of marrow just scraped out of a roasting hot piece of bone is remarkable, and something even more remarkable happens when it interacts with the special salt they serve it with. I am salivating as I type.
It’s all a ruse, to get me blogging again!
