Some Useful Widgets

I’m using the following Dashboard Widgets:

• Kitchen Timer

  Er, it’s a timer. For timing things. Such as eggs.

• LadyCrypt

  A nifty little MD5 hash password generator.

• TAGBAG

  This widget shows a list of all the tags you’ve left in the Spotlight comments field of your files, letting you click on tags to launch a saved search window containing all files tagged with the tag in question. Designed for GTD fetishists, but useful for normal people too. (Um, unfortunately it seems to have broken completely since I started writing this post, so maybe not so useful after all!)

• UK Yellow Pages

  Set your postcode, then quickly search Yell.com. Surprisingly snappy.

• UnitConverter

  Does what it says on the tin. The currency converter is a godsend. (You can even tweak it to include your own units.)

Are there any others that, you know, actually do useful stuff?
