  1. Mmm Slipstream sounds nice. I’ve been looking for something to do that ever since I got my Airport Express back in August. Hopefully the lag between sending the audio and it playing out of the speakers will be minimal.

I’m really looking forward to being able to play movies off my PowerBook onto my external monitor and not having to switch the cables around to use my Soundsticks ;)

  2. Ah, but the encryption lag would mean your DVD soundtrack would be out of sync with the video.

Sorry, couldn’t resist bursting your wireless bubble - your list of gear made me jealous ;-)

  3. There is a workaround for that, although it’s not hugely pretty.

VLC [http://videolan.org/] has a Audio desynchorization Compenstation field in the Audio preferences. Shuld be possible to adjust that to roughly the time differential and so the lag shouldn’t be noticeable. It’ll probably take some trial and error but should work :)

  5. In case you missed it Slipstream got released yesterday, under the name of Airfoil.

Works a charm with ANY app.
