I always thought that the reason iPod users discarded the trademark white headphones was a tactic to avoid getting mugged (“Look! I have a stupidly expensive bit of kit in my bag! If you’re crafty enough it can be in your pocket in 10 seconds!”) rather than a denial that they actually used an iPod. But then maybe I’m just jealous because I don’t have one.
