I really wish I could post about the gossip doing the rounds at the moment concerning the reasons for the recent uncertainty surrounding the future career of a certain public figure in the UK.
But I - like all the news journalists sitting on the story - just can’t due to the certainty of legal action. In fact, I suspect even this blind item might be sailing a little close to the wind. Oh well, I’m sure one of the less reputable journals in a country with less stringent privacy laws will pick up on it soon enough.
I bet that’s the most annoying weblog post you’ll read all day.

thing is, I know what you’re talking about, and for some reason I’ve known about it for about three weeks (that’s right isn’t it?) and I can’t remember how i came to hear about it, cos it wasn’t you that told me, or any of my other hack friends. I think it was someone at my work.

Er, I can’t think of a clue cryptic enough that will be of any use… I’m quite surprised it hasn’t surfaced yet - the whole thing happened weeks ago, and more and more people keep telling me about it, so it’s obviously almost beyond being an open secret, as I’m not exactly in the inner circle of political journalists!

C’mon - surely my post is enough of a starting point. I hardly want to post a direct link here and get Jack into trouble. Just think of who’s being discussed, the fact that it’s gossip, and construct a search.
I didn’t know when I read the post, and it took me just a few minutes of contemplation to remember that usenet is a sewer where everything gets discussed.
