Grauniad Charge for Digests

I somehow missed the news that The Guardian are introducing charges for various sections of their site. Stories, new and archived, will remain free, but charges are in for email digests. I guess I’ll be taking them up on the introductory 20% discount, since life without the Media Breifing and The Backbencher would be, if not intolerable, at least a drag.

Fortunately, this shouldn’t be the tip of an iceberg of charging, since the paper is owned by the Scott Trust, and as such isn’t purely profit-driven.
