Easy Leeching With iTunes 4.0.0

Many thanks to reader Romain for pro­vid­ing the fol­low­ing infor­ma­tion in the com­ments to this post.

To find out the IP address of some­one whose files you are stream­ing with iTunes 4.0.0, take the fol­low­ing steps:

1. Con­nect to a library with iTunes in the usual way
2. Open the Ter­mi­nal and type lsof | grep iTunes
3. The IP address of the user you’re con­nected will be listed with (ESTABLISHED) next to it
