Live Redesign Continues

Apolo­gies for another of these tedious metablog posts about the way the site looks and works, but I’m just putting together the promised redesign. You can watch me screw it up live and direct on the test page — the whole site will look like that by the end of the day.

This will be the last change to the way the site looks for at least a year. That is a promise.

Update: All done. Except­ing, um, test­ing on a PC, and a few nig­gling little things like the line-​height of the Read­ing sec­tion of the side­bar, some pecu­liar­i­ties in IE/Mac and so forth. If you’re seeing the Submit Response logo at the top in a white box, click here and here, then refresh the page. Or empty your cache. Or whatever.

If you are using Netscape 4, kindly upgrade to a browser released this cen­tury. If you are a devel­oper for Opera, kindly explain why your browser does not seem to sup­port rel­a­tive font-​sizes. iCab users: that’s not a browser, it’s a steam­ing pile of shit. Safari and Mozilla devel­op­ers: I salute you!
