Windows to become illegal!

The DCMA (Digital Copyright Millennium Act) is a nasty little piece of legislation for many reasons; here’s yet another (thanks to Paul at The Rub for the tip off). Bills have been proposed in Texas, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alaska, Tennessee, and Colorado which would make illegal any technology which conceals from ISPs the place of origin or destination of any piece of communication. There goes your encrypted email. Oh, and if you have a firewall, or use pretty much any OS developed in the past half-decade, you’ll be in violation. Lets just hope that the EUCD doesn’t decide to follow suit
