Safari v64

How leaky is Apple? We’ll be getting nightly builds next.

I’m posting this from Safari v64. After a brief burst of use, the obvious improvement is with the implementation of tabs - they now have a nice little spinning wheel to indicate the progress of a loading page, and individual tabs darken as you roll your mouse over them. You can also open a folder of links as a set of tabs. CSS dotted borders render correctly, rather than as dashes. Page rendering seems a smidgin quicker too, but I can’t be sure. The cookie-handling problem remains.

No link this time - leave a comment if you can’t find a copy, and I’ll email it to you.

  3. Now, how bleedin hard must it be for these computer programming types to sort out the cookies? I ask you.

  4. Hard as a hard thing, seeing as they seem to be implementing everything else people are requesting at an amazing pace.

What I don’t understand is why, after a quick Googling, only German folk seem to be talking about. My source must be highly placed!

  11. Andrew - yep, you need to run Safari Enhancer [http://gordon.sourcecod.com/sites/safari_enhancer.php] or type efaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1 in the Terminal.

Posted by Jack at 10pm on 12.03.03
