Safari v64

How leaky is Apple? We’ll be get­ting nightly builds next.

I’m post­ing this from Safari v64. After a brief burst of use, the obvi­ous improve­ment is with the imple­men­ta­tion of tabs - they now have a nice little spin­ning wheel to indi­cate the progress of a load­ing page, and indi­vid­ual tabs darken as you roll your mouse over them. You can also open a folder of links as a set of tabs. CSS dotted bor­ders render cor­rectly, rather than as dashes. Page ren­der­ing seems a smidgin quicker too, but I can’t be sure. The cookie-​handling prob­lem remains.

  4. Hard as a hard thing, seeing as they seem to be imple­ment­ing every­thing else people are request­ing at an amaz­ing pace.

    What I don’t under­stand is why, after a quick Googling, only German folk seem to be talk­ing about. My source must be highly placed!

  11. Andrew - yep, you need to run Safari Enhancer [http://​gor​don.​source​cod.​com/​s​i​t​e​s​/​s​a​f​a​r​i​_​e​n​h​a​n​c​e​r.php] or type efaults write com.apple.Safari Includ­eDe­bug­Menu 1 in the Terminal.
