The Amer­i­can Gov­ern­ment have pro­vided their cit­i­zenry with an online terror attack pre­pared­ness resource centre: Ready.gov.

I never would have known but, accord­ing to the site, the best thing to do in the event of a nuclear attack is Take cover (empha­sis theirs).

Of course, this is not so amus­ing on the same day that we learn of US plans to dis­cuss the pos­si­bil­ity of expand­ing their nuclear arse­nal to include ‘mini-nukes’ and ‘bunker-busters.’ Take cover Iraq, take cover North Korea.
