The American Government have provided their citizenry with an online terror attack preparedness resource centre: Ready.gov.
I never would have known but, according to the site, the best thing to do in the event of a nuclear attack is Take cover (emphasis theirs).

Of course, this is not so amusing on the same day that we learn of US plans to discuss the possibility of expanding their nuclear arsenal to include ‘mini-nukes’ and ‘bunker-busters.’ Take cover Iraq, take cover North Korea.
