  1. this is bizarre. i can’t believe there are so few uses of this word on the internet. in attempting to remember the reason for employing the term in the first place, i searched google for “encephalopods”, where s.m. came up 1st again, among an incredibly meagre sprinkling of other usages. only “cephalopod” (‘head-foot’) is, it appears, acceptable to marine biologists & everyone else.

of the few very strange google links thrown up by “encephalopods” (check em), art’s evocative rant is quite touching, although not if you follow on & read his response to dizz’s dumb question.

re-reading the original post (and greatly enjoying the squid pigment zoom pages through the “encephalopod” link word) i recalled the general attempt to besmirch the otherwise untarnished reputation of the blog controller-in-chief with truthful insinuations employing k-slang links (incidentally stumbling across the wonderfully-named DEA acrobat document on a ‘street terms’ search) but still without initially fathoming the reason for using the a) “encephalopod” and b) “purple powered bumping” references, until the ‘lowest denominational coin was gravitationally influenced” and “blind squid” appeared in my mind. a subsequent google search led to the rediscovery of the source of a), but not of b).

can anyone think of any good reason why the antiquated word “encephalopod” came to be in my brain? more importantly, was the ketamine inserted forcefully by a third party into an unwilling blog controller-in-chief’s frontispiece in a manner similar to “Sammie”’s ingestion of an amoxicillin tablet at the skilled hands of technician “Mo”, as demonstrated by the link to “joy” in the original post?

this blog’s contribution to the forceful blending of such unlikely bedfellows as (±)-2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-2-(methylamino)cyclohexanone & beings of the Cephaloda class must be upheld. an investigation into other odd marriages could begin with rosemary west & slade’s dave glover or charles bronson & saira ali ahmed
