Arse

I just got an old Pow­er­Mac 8500/120 to piss about with. The machine itself is run­ning fine, judg­ing by a bit of blind com­mand key muck­ing about, but I can’t get the mon­i­tor to power up. This makes it a little tricky to get the thing set up and talk­ing to the other computers.

Anyone got a spare monitor?

  2. not just yet! as soon as i can set the thing up and get it talk­ing to the others, i won’t need the mon­i­tor any more… speak­ing optimistically.

  3. You could pick up an adapter to plug it in to any old vga for ~$15.
