No War Blog

[Two Minutes of Silence]

No War Blog is the ‘Left-Right Blog Opposing an Invasion of Iraq.’ One suspects that George W. et al won’t exactly be shitting themselves about a new weblog, but as an alternative news source, and a voice to counter the more hideous end of warblogging, it’s a good thing.

  1. Blogs are whatever people say. The stats say that over 60% of people are chronic liars. Seeing many of the newstories of late and knowing the newsmedia’s history one might assume they are close to that percentage in their industry as to truth.
For example recent census data suggest over 80% of respondents lied when asked if they were Vietnam War veterans.I suppose the same ratio is true of respondents to any question which may reflect self image. Politics, and other lies are a hopeless situation. How can the naive make decisions when the so called(facts) are lies? Depictions by the talking heads are not the same as my experience with regards to the 60s. Stereotypical comments about the Vietnam War do not ring true to people that were in the Vietnam War as I was. However since most people lie on the internet, it would be foolish for anyone to believe anything I say, wouldn’t it?
