Today’s Links (15/05/06)
- The Tumblelist (tumblelog directory)
I’m in, but under the wrong name…
- FeedXs
This is essentially a hosted weblogging app that outputs only a RSS feed, no website. Interesting. (I did the same with my old podcast, using XSLT to magic up a web page for anyone who happened upon the feed.)
- WWW2006 - WWW 2006: 23-26th May: The 15th International World Wide Web Conference
I’m probably attending this (waiting on press accreditation). The ‘Next Wave’ lectures and workshops look to be the fun, in amongst the general dryness. Be nice to see Berners-Lee speak, too.
- WWE 2006 | 3rd Annual Workshop on the Weblogging Ecosystem: Aggregation, Analysis and Dynamics
- Proposal for Workshop at WWW 2006, Edinbugh
On tagging, folksonomy, &c.
- Whitney Artport Commissions: CODeDOC
"CODeDOC takes a reverse look at ‘software art’ projects by focusing on and comparing the ‘back end’ of the code that drives the artwork’s ‘front end’—the result of the code, be it visuals or a more abstract communication process."
- lightcycle.org | weblog archives for April 2006
On stigmergy.
- Johnny Spencer
Cracking collection of American and Jamaican music, with pretty drawings on the plain sleeves.
- Rip Rowan: Over the Limit
More on loudness and CD mastering (thanks MacDara!)
- Wired 14.05: Posts
"There’s a rumor going around the Internet that Douglas Coupland collects meteorites. Every effort he’s made to set the record straight has been ignored by his many fan sites. So he recently decided to purchase a few choice specimens."
- Microsummaries - MozillaWiki
"Microsummaries are regularly-updated succinct compilations of the most important information on web pages." Coming in Firefox.

Thanks Reyhan - I meant to mail you after noticing, but got distracted (getting distracted is, of course, what powers tumblelogs!). My fault really, for choosing such an uninspired name for Tumble…
