I just set up my old computer so my OS X equipped friends can share files. Nothing copyrighted, obviously. That would be wrong.

It’s still being tested out at the moment, but if anyone I know in an interweb sense would like an account too, do leave a comment or send an email.

It has some nice things just now, like Hydra running on the server for chatting purposes and I’m going to have fun over the weekend installing mod_dav and enabling sendmail to turn it into a miniature .Mac type of a thing.

OS X makes this sort of thing a doddle to set up, but it’s hopelessly insecure, most probably very slow, and amost certainly a waste of an hour of my time. Still, it’s there - join us!

Update: Fancy that. It works. I am currently conversing with Matt and Donna on Hydra. The fact that I am blogging the fact concurrently does not make me a bad person.
