in 2001, britons reportedly spent more money on prostitutes than on going to see films at the cinema, and the facts related to child prostitution are saddening.

a current project of mine is to be drawn from Ann-Sofi Siden’s recent exhibition at the Hayward.

And how disheartening is it that economies, socio-political changes and geography are accountable for providing an archetypical situation for black market industries to thrive, and often with more than a fair share (such an irrelevant term really) of warping consequences for the people embroiled. So legalising every industry under the sun would indeed provide protection of the people within those, through bureaucracy - ironically, but still i’m hesitant in my opinions of how the country may live in such a framework: though Holland has always been there first, and has maintained low teenage pregnancy rates, low crime rates etc. though i couldn’t find any relevant sources to back me up there, and i am probably out of date! I suppose it’s all relative to the governement in power at the time though, as regards how things for the masses turn out.

Creative Behaviour v2.0 is down, and I rather liked that site, with it’s CMYK colour scheme, and design-relevant articles. It had had the most concise and clarifying explanation of the em rule affair. [possibly mind numbingly boring to other people who read this] Brain box have a lovely little site, quite impressive amount of work for one year. though i just don’t like pixelated design. a la k10k, or experimental. I think that rehashing print design for web publication is hardly pioneering though, when the site it is used for is focused on the web design community. Why don’t these design sites link to other realms of design? Otto Neurath style science design for the better of daily living and all. Would be good to have a web site dedicated to providing links and articles on user-centred design, but with humour and fun injected, not just a textbook dull drone tone.

i know len and his views on the logical positivists though* here is a random good link to an index of notable historians and philosophers. don’t take drugs, retreat into the non-verbal world.
