1/2 a bottle of smirnoff
1/2 a bottle of smirnoff + 1 carton ocean spray cranberry juice + MEOW12 on the headphones = www.submitresponse.co.uk.
boring stuff: SH, if you can see why the script to reveal hidden layers works in IE but not Netscape/Mozilla/Opera… do tell!
more usefully, technoerotica have kindly collated a set of links that allow you to opt out of getting 1,000 pop-ups and -unders every time you so much as think of looking on the interweb… i have no idea whether this approach actually works, but it can’t do any harm. You can take a stand against pop-under ads here, click a nice link that kills X10 ads at daily report or, if you are a pc type, download an anti-pop-up app at panicware (warning: i have no idea whether it’s any good). all that said, i don’t really object to pop-ups most of the time. obviously if it’s a commercial site blasting you into submission or ads wondering whether you’d like to see some hot little ten year olds learn how to fuck when you’re innnocently looking for warez and suchlike, they piss me off as much as the next person. when it’s a free host or similar, though, i think i’d rather get a few pop-ups than see an ugly banner ad marring someone’s layout… i also can’t stand the recent navigational trend for every link on some swanky over-designed page launching an interestingly shaped pop-up with a heavily photoshopped picture of a transvestite vole in it.
note to self: remove that pop-up links thing before posting this
