ah, mr jack, your css house of fun it don’t make no sense to mere mortals like myself…what we like far more than that is anthropomorphic little lamps that look like new imacs

what we don’t like is being stuck in the office transcribing tapes of interviews with dozy singer-songwriters who talk about “growing as an artist” and “taking things one step at a time”. the quicker i get a flunky to do all my dirty work, the better. still, when i opened my mail this morning i did find the new clinic single, in rather fetching blue and red sleeves. and a new giant sand album of cover versions. i know next to nothing about them, but everyone talks about them in the same hushed tones of reverence accorded to bill callahan and will oldham, so i reckon it ought to be pretty good.
